Features · Aspect ratios
16:9 · 9:16 · 1:1 from one capture.
Re-cropped via the camera transform. No recapture. Same script, three deliverables: docs embed, social ad, square.
How
Crop happens in render, not capture
Capture always happens in the demo's CSS viewport size. The camera transform in Remotion maps that source space into the chosen output frame. Switching aspect ratios is a render-time flag — no re-execution of the script.
Every render of this feature is deterministic. Capture writes the metadata; the composition reads it. Re-render after a UI change to get the new output without re-recording.
Use cases
One demo, every channel
- 16:9 (1920×1080) — landing pages, docs, YouTube, sales decks
- 9:16 (1080×1920) — TikTok, Reels, Shorts, mobile-first sites
- 1:1 (1080×1080) — Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Instagram feed
- All three render from the same events.json
